“Young Women and Politics”

Share your thoughts on one of three questions, either –

What are the three most important issues for young women in the UK?

Or

What makes politics count for young women today?

Or

What can politicians do to better represent young people’s concerns in the UK?

Please send your entry and completed entry form with the heading “Young Women and Politics”  essay competition to either– email: holoppositionwhips@parliament.uk

Prize: Top 3 will be invited to have lunch with Labour Peers and Judges in the House of Lords.

Travel by public transport will be organised on the winners’ behalf.

Rules: ◦Eligibility: This year the competition is open to young women aged 17-18 years (inclusive) ◦Maximum word limit: 1,000 words (a maximum not a target) ◦Deadline: By 5pm on 20th April 2012 ◦The entry must be the genuine work of the applicant as confirmed on the entry form. ◦One entry per applicant. ◦The decision of the Judges is final and no further correspondence will be entered. ◦Results will be published on the (soon to be launched) Labour Peers’ website.
